Warehouse process redesign and measured follow-through
In a documented warehouse improvement engagement, CPC performed a time-motion study, redesigned the pick-and-pack process, sourced automation and security solutions, managed implementation and measured the resulting performance.
The engagement reduced picking time from 100 seconds to 15 seconds per order. At a volume of 15,000 orders per day, picking and shipping headcount decreased from 111 to 50, while annual labor cost declined from $675,864 to $133,329.
